I am an organizational development consultant, and I specialize in helping people become better public speakers. I write and speak about organizational development, ethics, leadership, employee engagement, values and vision, and professional development. I also help people build thier businesses and careers as a coach.
I have a masters degree from St. Edwards University in Organizational Leadership and Ethics. I am also an adjunt professor at St. Edwards. Before becoming a consultant, I worked in interactive marketing. Before that, I was an opera singer.
My music career taught me a lot about creativity, perseverance, and self-expression. Interactive marketing helped me become a good innovator, problem solver, and collaborator. Being a consultant and coach allows me to use my talents to help other people find and work from their core values, create great workplaces, and be valuable community members.
As people gain a deeper understanding of what drives them, they can contribute their unique talents to the world in a way that expresses their core values. I believe that self-awareness and compassion are key to creating successful, sustainable, and ethical workplaces.
My Core Values:
Courage: I strive to build the strength to face my fears to honestly recognize and learn from my own failings.
Compassion: I believe that compassion for myself and others is my doorway to helping others learn and grow.
Inquisitiveness: I try to question my own perceptions and the assertions of others, and to tune into my intuition and inner voice.
Humor: I believe that the challenges of life are best met with humility, which is tempered by the ability to laugh at myself and with others.
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, daughter, and two crazy terriers. I love photography, belly dancing, yoga, cooking, writing, and reading.
